PIA’s airbus with almost 100 on-board crashes in Karachi

PIA’s Flight 8303 met a fatal crash on Friday in Karachi’s Model Colony near Karachi Airport.

Reportedly, Pakistan International Airlines’ flight 8303 met a fatal crash in Karachi’s Model Colony near Karachi Airport three minutes before its landing and five-kilometer away from the airport. As the plane hit a four-story building in the residential area, several buildings also got damaged resulting in more injuries and causalities, reports said.

According to the latest updates from the Civil Aviation Authority, 85 passengers and 12 crew members were on board who met the unfortunate accident.

Firefighters and other rescue teams have reached the spot and started rescue operation soon after the accident. Injured ones and dead bodies are being shifted to nearby hospitals.

Jinnah Hospital Spokesperson Seemi Jamali while talking to the media said that injured ones were being brought to Jinnah Hospital and other nearby hospitals.

As per reports, Channel 24 Director News Ansar Navi lost his life in the incident while Bank of Punjab Chairman Zafar Masud survived in the incident.

PIA has also activated its Emergency Response Cell where relatives of the onboard passengers are being informed about the latest updates.

Sindh Health Minister Dr. Azra reached while talking to the media said that everything possible is being done for the treatment of the inured ones.

Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa have expressed their grief over the incident.
