The petrol and diesel rates in Pakistan are foreseen to increase in the first half of March 2024. The reason behind this rise is the boost in the global market rates. The outgoing caretaker management is expected petrol price in Pakistan will increase by Rs.4 per liter and diesel costs by as much as Rs.1.5 per liter, regarding import expenses and exchange rates.
Present Petrol and Diesel Rates in Pakistan
The caretaker government last revised the diesel and petrol rates on February 16, 2024. The petrol price in Pakistan has risen by Rs.2.73 per liter and we noticed an increase of RS 8.37 in diesel costs. As of February 29, the price of petrol in Pakistan stands at Rs.275.62 per liter, and the diesel rate is Rs.287.33 per liter.
If the administration endorses the suggested expansion, the latest prices for petrol and diesel from the first of March would be Rs.279.62 per liter and Rs.288.83 per liter, respectively.
