Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has announced a lock down in Punjab from March 24 to April 6.
While talking to media on March 23, he said that it was decided in the best interest of the masses to lock down the province for two weeks. He further said that it would not be like a curfew but walking out without a reason would not be allowed. He added that utility stores and other outlets selling basic amenities would remain open. Pillion riding except for families would also be not allowed. He added that army and other civil institutions would make it sure that everybody is following the directives. Answering a question, he said that the decision of locking down Punjab could be reverted back if the situation got better.
